Primary Carnival

Today our primary did a carnival activity for the kids in our ward. It was a lot of work, but it was so much fun. There were games like a bean bag toss, plinko, and cupcake walk, as well as a train ride, jelly bean guessing jar, and balloon animals. It was so much fun and everyone had a great time. Zach and Hailey did a couple of the games, but were more interested in riding the train most of the time. The train was a 4-wheeler that had been turned into a train with a top made of wood, cars that it pulled, and even a little caboose! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and didn't have time to run home and get it, but I did get a few pictures of the kids' painted faces and the balloon hats they got once we got home. They sure had a great time!

Cool in the Pool

Our weekly get togethers have been fun and the kids are enjoying all the fun things we're doing. Now that the weather has finally decided to be summer, the temperatures have been hot hot hot! Of course that means that it's pool time! A bunch of nice cool water on a hot summer day is almost heaven. This last week we decided it was too hot to do anything but play in the pool. The kids had a blast jumping in and out of the pool, squirting each other and the swing set with the squirt guns, sliding down the wet slide, and of course eating some ice cream out in the hot sun. The kids are like little fish and would swim all day if we would let them. We all can't wait until the next swimming play date!
