Bob the Builder

Or should I say Tate the Builder?

Love this boy!

Hailey

What can I say about my Hailey?  She is probably the most difficult and fun daughter ever!  She definitely has her own ideas of style and is definitely particular about how she likes things.  Recently we took some new family pictures and wanted to get some individual ones of the kids.  My sister-in-law, Holli,  took some great ones of the kids when we were in Idaho Falls, but Hailey was tired and not very cooperative, so her pictures didn't turn out as we were hoping they would.  So I decided to try my hand at taking some pictures of her and hoped that one would maybe turn out so that we could use it.

As I already knew, I am really not a great photographer, but with this beautiful girl as the subject, we did really get some great pictures of her.  I thought it would be fun to post a few of them just to show you what a beautiful girl we have.

This last one is the one we liked best and used.  There's something about her in front of the flowers that we really loved.  I sure do love this girl, I don't know what I would do without her!

Tate's Third Birthday!

I'm really far behind on getting these posted, but better late than never right?  The first part of June brought many fun things:  The end of school, the beginning of the summer, and Tate's birthday.  How is it that my little baby is now 3?  Wow.  Time goes by so fast!

The first part of the celebration was having Nana and Papa come down to bring some fun presents.

They gave Tate more building legos and ...

... a green monster shirt!  He also got a blue church shirt, but this is the one he focused on.

Of course we had to change into the green shirt right away.  Because you know, green's his favorite color!

Then he proceeded to play with his new legos.  Guess which color he played with?  Green of course!

Later that afternoon when daddy got home from work, it was time to open more presents.

He got a little soccer ball from Zach.

And a fun light-up green squishy ball from Hailey.

And from Mom and Dad:  A new Mickey Mouse movie - Mickey and Donald Had a Farm, which he has been wanting FOREVER!

More building legos.

A new Mickey Mouse Camp Chair to sit in (with a cup holder - this was very important!) and a little barking dog.  He loved it all!

It was cute to watch him go from thing to thing to play with all of the toys.  Just as he would get playing, something else would interest him and off he would be to play with that.

He wanted green cupcakes for his dessert, so we put in the #3 candle and the sports candles for him to blow out.  We also had some sports flags that we used.

And of course we had to wear the birthday boy crown!

We are still working on blowing out the candles instead of spitting on the cupcakes and I think this was his best year yet.  He had the candles all blown out after about 2 or 3 tries.

Here he is waiting for his cupcake and ice cream.  Love that smile!

And devouring his cupcake, well the frosting anyway.  He at the frosting off of about 3 cupcakes and was done.  Ah, the things we do for the birthday child!

He was wearing quite a bit of the frosting by the time he was done.

And just because he can, he winked to say thanks!  I got the perfect shot of it and it just makes me laugh!

We all loved celebrating Tate's birthday!

And we all enjoyed the cupcakes and ice cream too!

Love you Tate!  You are getting so big and we all love you so much!
